01 Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or using DecreaseLag (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not install or use the App.

02 What DecreaseLag is

DecreaseLag is a lightweight Windows application that aims to reduce network latency, improve frame rates, and tune your system for gaming. It does this by:

• Prioritizing your game's network traffic;
• Raising your game's CPU and GPU process priority;
• Clearing temporary files and freeing memory;
• Switching Windows to a high-performance power profile while you play.

The App is designed to revert these changes automatically when it is closed, and to make changes only to your own computer and network configuration.

03 License & permitted use

DecreaseLag is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on computers you own or control. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the App, or charge others for access to it, without our written permission.

04 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
• Modify, tamper with, or create derivative works of the App;
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any third party's rights;
• Use the App to attempt to gain an unfair advantage that violates the rules or terms of service of any game you play.

05 Games, anti-cheat & your responsibility

DecreaseLag does not read from, write to, or inject into any game's files, memory, or processes, and it does not interact with anti-cheat software. It only adjusts settings on your own system and network. However, you are responsible for complying with the terms of service and rules of any game or platform you use. We are not responsible for any action taken against your account by a game publisher or platform. If you are unsure whether a third-party tool is permitted, consult that game's official rules.

06 System changes & reversibility

The App is designed to record the changes it makes and to restore your prior settings when it is closed or when you choose to restore. While we make every effort to ensure changes are fully reversible, you acknowledge that software interacts with complex and varied system configurations, and you use the App at your own risk. We recommend keeping your own backups and system restore points, as you would with any software that modifies system settings.

07 No warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will achieve any particular reduction in latency or increase in frame rate. Performance results vary by hardware, connection, drivers, and game.

08 Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DECREASELAG OR ITS CREATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP. Because the App is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App, which is zero.

09 Third-party trademarks

Roblox, Valorant, Fortnite, CS2, Apex Legends, Warzone, League of Legends, Overwatch, and all other product names, logos, and brands referenced on this site or within the App are the property of their respective owners. DecreaseLag is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of these companies. Any videos featured on this website belong to their respective creators and are used for illustrative purposes.

10 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11 Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice. The sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, and trademark provisions) will survive.
